Microscopic thermography is generally more expensive than regular thermography, making it a high barrier to entry. Microscopic thermography has a unique level of measurement difficulty, and the specifications required for the hardware tend to be high due to the need to measure under low light conditions and various thermal drifts. The low-cost microscopic thermography Thermal View X MCR series mitigates measurement issues through software compensation, thereby keeping hardware costs down. While the measurement accuracy as hardware is reduced, the thermal distribution is comparable to other non-cooled high-end products, and by allowing users to adjust measurements, significant cost reductions have been achieved.
